To portray what I thought the average process through life I drew a happy child following a downward spiral until one has become a mindless zombie that has no personal freedom during their career. Thinking more about this topic, I should have included a seperate path that includes the individuals that thoroughly enjoy their post-schooling lives. While this path is often less taken, the few who do should be properly represented.

This week in class we tried to make ourselves an outsider by looking at clips from popular media. In this picture somebody noticed the presence of order and disorder simultaneously. I found this to be most interesting because I notice this in other aspects of my own life. As I look around my room I notice that certain areas function better if it is thoroughly organized, while other areas rely on a sort of cluttered mess.

We recently discussed popular media during our class time. We first analyzed the Star Wars hexalogy and the lack of the female hero. As our discussion developed, we began to discover other trends in the films such as the limit of robot's activity. In the movies, the droids were limited to either being a servant or soldier. This trend is also appearant in other movies involving robots. Typically the robots do not socially interact and usually form a rebellion. Off the top of my head, I could only think of two out of ten movies involving robots that do not follow this trend.

This week in class we played the believing game. This is where, as a reader, one just completely accepts whatever they read and passes no judgement. This includes some of the most outrageous claims. The purpose of this is to immerse the reader in the piece of literature instead of trying to disect it for errors. When a person starts critiquing a piece of literature too much, they miss out on the magic that a good piece create.
When this is applied to a learning scenario, I think it is more effective if the student is participating in the believing game. If a student "boards the teachers train of thought," I think that they are more likely to absorb knowledge. If a person begins to excessively analyze what they are being told, their mind will be consumed with critizism and reject any new knowledge.
